Head of Finance & Commercial Operations

Position Summary

The Head of Finance & Commercial Ops will be responsible for managing the company's finances while optimising its operational and commercial processes. This dual role requires strong analytical skills, excellent strategic thinking, and hands-on leadership to ensure both financial stability and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management

• Oversee all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Oversee cash flow, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and banking relationships
• Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reporting
• Lead financial planning and analysis to support strategic decision-making
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals

Commercial Ops & Management

• Lead special projects related to commercial and growth initiatives, e.g. data-driven analyses to optimise pipeline generation, streamline sales or customer upsell processes
• Simplify, streamline and optimise business processes across other departments
• Implement and maintain operational systems, policies, and procedures
• Manage vendor relationships and contracts

Leadership & Strategy

• Provide financial insights to inform business strategy and identify growth opportunities
• Develop and track KPIs for measuring operational and financial performance
• Build and lead the finance and operations teams
• Serve as a key member of the leadership team
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (MBA or relevant master's degree preferred)
• 5+ years of experience in financial management, management consulting, or other commercial strategy
• Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, and forecasting
• Excellent analytical, data-driven and problem-solving abilities
• Experience with financial software and ERP systems
• Outstanding leadership and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Fluency in Swedish and English

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience of scaling finance and / or commercial operations at a fast growing tech company
